Hi! Welcome to AM Plastering. We are a specialist plastering service based in north Dublin, available for all aspects of interior and exterior plastering. We cover all of Dublin, Wicklow, Meath and Kildare. No job is too big or too small, from small patch repairs to full plastering renovations, we do it all.

AM Plastering will cater for all aspects of your plastering needs, whether its skimming, sand & cement, drylining, internal insulation, water damage repairs, venetian plaster, polished plaster microcement, we do it all and to a top quality standard each and everytime.

Here at AM Plastering, we have a lot of experience and knowledge on the services we provide and can recommend the best plastering finishes for your home or Business, we strive on giving our clients a high standard of workmanship on every job we complete.

Information about our Services as follows:

Skimming - Skimming specifically refers to the process of applying a thin layer of finishing plaster to create a smooth finish for the surface of walls or ceilings, usually so that it's ready for painting or covering with wallpaper.

Sand & cement - This plaster consists of a cement-sand mix applied over masonry to create a waterproofing layer. While the second coating is still damp, a sponge acts as a sand grain to smooth the surface, making it uniform. This helps to reduce the appearance of cracks.

Drylining - Drylining a wall means attaching plasterboard to a wall, which gives you a smooth finish to decorate straight away. It's much easier to get a good result this way than with wet plaster and it is easier alternative to re-plastering.

Internal insulation - insulation is done by fitting rigid insulation boards to the wall, or by building a stud wall filled in with insulation material such as mineral wool fibre30.

More information about our Services:

Venetian plaster - Venetian plaster is made of limestone mixed with marble dust and other minerals and can be applied to walls and ceilings in thin, repetitive layers using a spatula or trowel before being polished to produce a sense of depth and texture.

Polished plaster - A polished plaster finish is a thin coating of plaster – often just 1-3mm thick – which can be applied to almost any interior and most exterior surfaces. These are very durable and easy to maintain, and can even incorporate colours or pigments to alleviate the need for painting and repainting the surface.

Microcement - Microcement is a decorative coating made up of cement, water-based resins, additives and mineral pigments that can be applied to a multitude of vertical and horizontal surfaces thanks to its great adherence. This construction material stands out because it is placed directly on the existing material: tiles, plasterboard, tiles, marble, terrazzo or plaster, among many others.

Water damage repairs - If your plaster gets damaged from water, there are a few methods we can try. Firstly, though, it's really important to make sure you’ve stopped the leak. You may need to call in a roofer or a plumber to get the problem sorted. Otherwise, we could re - plaster your wall or walls only for it to be damaged again by water ingress.
