Hi, my name is Helen Carrigan and with my partner Michael we offer Country House Accommodation in Clonacody House, Fethard, Co Tipperary, Ireland.

You can hire our unique Georgian house and grounds for your self-catering Dinner Parties, Wedding Receptions, Family Reunions etc.

Alternatively you could just come stay with us overnight and relax away from the pressures and stresses of modern living.

Enjoy its beautiful Oak and Beach trees set in lush green fields with the majestic Comeragh Mountains to the South and famed Slievenamon to the East.

Clonacody House has spacious grounds and gardens suitable for all types of outdoor events and photography, it boasts a hectare of walled gardens, which have provided abundant vegetables and fruit since the 18th century.

Helen’s mother, Bitsy Carrigan, continued to tend the gardens up till her death in 1990, producing every manner of vegetable.

Apple, pear, plum and fig trees, some of them over 100 years old, still stand around the borders, as do the remains of Victorian heated glasshouses and seedbeds.

In 2009, work began to refurbish the gardens and make them beautiful and productive again. While the borders, fruit trees and features are being restored, the central part is available to allotment holders. Charges for a 10m x 10m plot are €150 for the year.

Clonacody House can be hired either on a fully catered and staffed basis or self catering with a daily cleaning service provided. Our prices vary according to your requirements.

Tea/Coffee, afternoon tea, lunches and suppers are provided upon request and we cater for special dietary needs.

Location

Clonacody House is approximately 2 miles from Fethard on the Clonmel Road after which you take a right hand turn for 100 yards and you will meet our entrance on your left.

We have ample and secure parking on our grounds.

Our grounds are set in the heart of Tipperary in the South East of Ireland

Historic Sites Near Clonacody House

When you stay with us, we will make your stay memorable, including helping you explore the area with its abundance of historical sites and interesting events. The sites below are all within easy reach of Clonacody House.

Rock Of Cashel - Here we have the most famous iconic historical site in Tipperary. This medieval architectural building was the seat of the Kings of Munster for several hundred years before the Norman invasion. It is a world renowned tourist attraction feature and the most visited heritage site in Ireland.

Cahir Castle - Located in the heart of Cahir Town standing proudly along side "The River Suir" this medieval castle is a must for all sightseeing trips. More than 800 years old it is steeped in history and heritage. It has played as an ideal setting for films and T.V series. Its remarkably preserved inside and outside and has beautiful landscape surrounds.

Ormond Castle- Located in Carrick on Suir, it is a prime example of an Elizabethan manor house in Ireland. Today the castle is home to some art exhibitions, acts as a wonderful host for social gatherings and welcomes visitors to the "Butler Trail" as part of the Clancy Brothers Arts Festival.

St Patricks Well - Dating back to the 17th Century, this well is located just outside Clonmel Town on the outskirts of Marfield Village. It is a popular destination for tourists and pilgrims at all times of the year. It features one of Ireland's largest holy wells. The well flows gently into a pool with an interesting early christian, Celtic style cross at its centre. It can be quite refreshing and instills an incredible calmness of mind in all visitors.
