Network Admin The Nenagh Chamber of Commerce and Nenagh.ie wish you the best for 2016.

We are firm believers in advocacy for all that is Nenagh, knowing full well that the promotion of our town is a serious task which is best done as a community.

But before we launch forward, we'd like to take a moment to celebrate the accomplishments of 2015. Here's highlights:

The Nenagh & District Chamber of Commerce successfully submitted a traffic pattern proposal to Tipperary County Council with the input of its members. Copies of this document have been sent out previously and you can request them again.
We began work on an important town initiative that looks ahead 3, 5, and 10 years toward what Nenagh can grow into. You can request a copy of the document by sending an e-mail to editor@nenagh.ie.
A dedicated group of retailers emerged to the forefront and brought major events to Nenagh during the holiday season. Here is the fantastic list:
Turning on of the Christmas Lights (attended by over 600 people)
Christmas Train rides through town
€4000 Shop Local/Win Big Contest saw 80 retailers participating and a total of 3,783 tickets were turned in. (You can do the math on the spending figures that implies).
Carey Glass Window Contest
The Outdoor Market
Christmas music piped on the streets
A Free Pop Up Gift Wrapping Station
Santa's Mailbox
The Nativity Crib display
The Customer Appreciation Evening
Readings by Mrs. Claus
It was no mean feat to pull these events together particularly when the weather seemed to do its best to dampen our spirits. The 'simplest' project still required a large amount of time, effort, and organization. To all the organizers, you have our sincerest appreciation and admiration for having stepped up to work for all of Nenagh.

You can be assured that we have many initiatives planned for 2016 and beyond. Your input, ideas, suggestions, and grand schemes are earnestly sought, so feel free to give us a piece of your mind and/or a helping hand.

Your Nenagh Chamber has also worked hard to make sure your gains came at little to no cost. To that end, the fee for joining the Nenagh Chamber now includes full membership into Nenagh.ie. In the past, you paid €300 for Nenagh.ie and an additional €250 for the Nenagh Chamber. In 2016 you can be a member of both for €250 (corporate rates are different) with all the benefits of both.

If you are unsure what those benefits are, please contact us and we'll be happy to have a friendly chat with you. You can call/text us at 083-4717-888 or send an e-mail to editor@nenagh.ie.
