Hi, my name is David Maher, welcome to Roscrea Equestrian Centre.  

We are based in Co. Tipperary, Ireland and we  offer the following:

· SJAI-affiliated weekly show jumping competitions for international and national horses and riders 
· Guided trail riding and trekking
· Horse and pony hire
· Riding lessons for children and adults
· Livery and Horse training

The facilities of Roscrea Equestrian Centre consist of the following:

22 acres of land -  One 20,000 sq.ft. indoor arena -  One 15,000 sq.floodlit outdoor arena -  One 30,000 sq.outdoor arena

26 stables -  One tack room, One feed room, One feed barn -  One bedding barn -  One large car park

Indoor show jumping course -  Kitchenette -  26 horses and ponies.

The following activities are available in the centre:

  • Pony Camps are run each year in July. 
  • Riding Lessons (Kids and Adults) – includes jumping, dressage and cross country
  • Show Jumping Ireland Leagues
  • Dressage Ireland Leagues and  Riding Club Leagues
  • Trail Riding and Trekking
  • Arena Hire (above clubs and pony clubs)
  • Professional Riders (school horses)
  • Horse and Pony hire

Professional Services

While kids activities are a significant and important part of our offering, we also cater for professional riders.

As well as hosting professional leagues we make the centre available for schooling horses as well as activities such as Polo Training.

The photo on the left shows a polo team using the centre to practice for an upcoming match, the team use the centre on a regular basis and find it an invaluable facility.

David Maher

The owner of Roscrea Equestrian Centre is David Maher,  David has been involved in the equestrian business since his youth.

He successfully completed a 2 year equestrian course at Grennan College, Thomastown and  sat his BHS (British Horse Society) examinations in 1996 and successfully achieved B.H.S.A.I.
