The Tree Guy - Gardener & Tree Surgeon Cork

Hi. My name is Chris and i am the tree guy. I am based in carrigrohane county Cork, and I cover all areas around cork city. I am a tree care specialist, and I specialise in climbing trees to preserve and protect them, I also have a full felling license for larger trees which are diseased or at risk to buildings or the public. Tree care is something that I am very passionate about, and Planning on how to best protect tree health is something I love to do. I will only cut the trees within their seasons.

I do all types of tree surgery and garden maintenance, and all my work is completed to the very highest standard, with an up to date tree care service and advice to each and every one of my clients if they need any help or advice on what to do with their trees or shrubs etc. I offer a complete and a professional service. I provide a full range of services including pruning, hedges, crown reduction, and felling of dangerous trees. I also offer a 24 hour call out service to remove your trees after falling from heavy winds or storms etc.

I also offer a gardening service, so no matter how big or small or how overgrown your garden may be, you can be rest assured that the tree guy can transform your garden into a place of beauty.

Information on what a tree surgeon does

A tree surgeon is an expert that uses their knowledge and skills for the maintenance, cutting and taking away of trees. A tree surgeon is often involved in all stages of a tree’s existence from planting to maintenance and then its removal.

Tree surgeons are experts when it comes to using power tools and other risky equipment, which is frequently required while perched high in a tree, but we are also be well-versed in the following services below

Tree felling - This involves removing a tree completely particularly when it is in a restricted area or it is large.

Log splitting - It involves splitting firewood from logs that had been pre-cut into sections.

Planting - It involves placing a seed into the ground for it to grow.

Root removal - It involves removing a root completely and making sure that it doesn’t grow again.

Pruning - It involves trimming overgrown branches or stems to help them with growth

Importance of garden Maintenance

Cutting the lawn - How ofter you cut your lawn is different for everyone, it can be once a week, fortnightly or even once a month during the growing season. Having your lawn cut more often at the correct height increases your lawns density and also keeps the root system healthy. A healthy root system means the nutrients and water will be absorbed rather than wasted. Getting your lawn cut and at the right height will also help keep the weeds away, I can do this for you, to make sure you have a garden of beauty.

Hedges - New hedges require formative pruning for their first couple of years after planting. Formative pruning is usually carried out in winter or early spring. After this, maintenance trimming is carried out, usually once a year for informal hedges and twice a year for formal hedges, looking for a professional to do it right, look no further, I will have your hedges pruned perfectly whenever they need to be done, so you don't have to worry about them grown out of hand
